Question 1

Do you need access to water on site?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We require access to a suitable water source on site to support our drone cleaning equipment. We can confirm the specific requirements with you before the scheduled cleaning date.

Question 2

Do you need access to power on site?

Accepted Answer

Access to power is preferred where available, but it is not essential. Our service vehicle is equipped with a generator, allowing us to operate at sites where a convenient power source is not available.

Question 3

What types of staining or buildup can drone cleaning remove?

Accepted Answer

Drone cleaning is effective at removing many common types of exterior buildup, including dirt, grime, dust and pollution caused by airborne contaminants. The results will depend on the surface material, the type of buildup and how long the contamination has been present.

Question 4

Are there stains or surface issues that drone cleaning may not be able to remove?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Some materials require specialized treatment or may not be suitable for removal through standard exterior cleaning. For example, graffiti generally requires removal using specialized methods or may need to be painted over. Mould and similar organic growth can also require a specific cleaning solution and treatment process. We assess the condition of the surface before cleaning and can advise on the most appropriate approach.

Question 5

Is drone cleaning suitable for maintenance cleaning or heavy restoration work?

Accepted Answer

Both. Drone cleaning can be used for routine exterior maintenance as well as more intensive cleaning projects.Regular cleaning can help prevent dirt and pollutants from building up over time, while heavier cleaning can be used to restore surfaces that have accumulated significant grime or environmental residue.

Question 6

What weather conditions can prevent drone cleaning from going ahead?

Accepted Answer

Safety is always the priority. Drone cleaning may need to be postponed during unsuitable weather conditions, including:High windsLightning or thunderstormsHeavy rainOther conditions that could affect safe drone operationsWeather conditions are monitored before and during each job, and work will only proceed when it is safe to do so.

Question 7

Can drone cleaning be carried out in cold weather?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within certain limits. Our drone equipment is capable of operating in temperatures as low as approximately -20°C.For cleaning operations, however, temperatures generally need to be at or above 0°C so that water and cleaning solutions can be used safely and effectively.

Question 8

How much open space is needed to operate the drone safely?

Accepted Answer

As a general guide, we establish a safety perimeter of approximately five metres around the active work area. The exact operating area may vary depending on the building, surrounding environment, pedestrian activity and any site-specific hazards.

Question 9

Can drone cleaning be done near pedestrians, vehicles or active businesses?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Drone cleaning can often be completed in active environments provided appropriate safety controls are in place. This can include establishing safety perimeters, using signage, managing pedestrian access and coordinating activities around vehicles, entrances and other site users.

Question 10

Can a business remain open while drone cleaning is underway?

Accepted Answer

In many cases, yes. Businesses can often remain operational while cleaning is taking place. Our team will work with the property manager or site contact to establish appropriate safety controls and minimise disruption to customers, staff and normal business operations.

Question 11

How do you protect nearby landscaping, vehicles, entrances and neighbouring properties?

Accepted Answer

Before starting work, we assess the surrounding area and establish appropriate controls to protect people and property.Depending on the site, this may include:Providing advance notice to residents or occupantsAsking residents to close windows during cleaningRequesting that items be removed from balconiesTemporarily relocating vehicles from affected areasInstalling safety and awareness signageManaging access around entrances and pedestrian areasSite-specific requirements are reviewed before work begins.

Question 12

How long does a typical drone cleaning job take?

Accepted Answer

The timeframe depends on the size and complexity of the property. As a general example, a typical apartment building can often be cleaned within one day. Larger or more complex buildings may require additional time.We can provide a clearer estimate once we have reviewed the property.

Question 13

What factors affect how long a drone cleaning job takes?

Accepted Answer

Several factors can influence the duration of a project, including:The size and height of the buildingThe amount of glazing or exterior surface being cleanedThe level and type of buildupSite hazards such as power lines or restricted areasWeather conditionsPedestrian and vehicle activityAccess requirementsCompliance with safety zones and site controlsEach property is assessed individually so we can plan the safest and most efficient approach.

Question 14

Do you offer one-time cleaning or recurring maintenance plans?

Accepted Answer

Both. We offer one-time exterior cleaning as well as recurring maintenance programs for properties that require regular cleaning. We can also arrange demonstrations for property owners or managers who would like to see the technology in action before proceeding with a larger project.

Question 15

How should a property owner prepare for drone cleaning?

Accepted Answer

Good preparation helps the job run safely and efficiently. Before the scheduled cleaning date, we may ask the property owner or manager to:Remove or identify potential hazards where possibleConfirm available water and power sourcesNominate an on-site contact personProvide access to required areas or building entrancesNotify residents, tenants or staff in advanceAsk occupants to close windows and remove items from balconies where requiredIdentify a suitable parking and staging area for our service vehicle and equipmentWe will provide site-specific preparation instructions before work begins.

Question 16

Are there any surfaces or materials that cannot be cleaned by drone?

Accepted Answer

Drone cleaning can be used on a wide range of exterior surfaces, but every building is different.Surface condition, coatings, age, previous damage and the type of contamination all need to be considered. Before cleaning, we assess the property and determine the most appropriate pressure, cleaning solution and method for the surface.Where necessary, a small test area can be completed before proceeding with the full clean.

Question 17

Do you need to visit the property before providing a quote?

Accepted Answer

A site survey is recommended wherever possible because it allows us to identify hazards, access requirements and other factors that may not be visible from photographs or property information alone. However, some projects can be initially assessed using photographs, building plans, measurements and digital mapping tools. For straightforward properties, we may be able to provide an indicative quote remotely before confirming the final scope following a site assessment.
